European Quarter Final Draws

Well we had the Draws for the quarter finals of the Champions League, and Europa League today. Both competitions are due to take place in August, after the domestic leagues have ended.

First of all we had the Champions League draw. Most of us were looking out for Man City’s draw. If they manage to beat Real Madrid, then they will play either Juventus or Lyon.

Chelsea if they produce a miracle against Bayern, will face either Napoli or Barcelona. RB Leipzig will face Athletico Madrid and Atalanta will take on Paris Saint Germain.

What a battle that would be!

United and Wolves hear fate in Europa

In the Europa League, Manchester United, Wolves and Rangers were anxious to know who they could be facing. Manchester United will face either Copenhagen or Istanbul Baseksahir in the quarter finals.

United have a 5-0 advantage over Linz to take to Old Trafford. As for Wolves they will take on either Roma or Sevilla, if they can get past Olympiakos first. They drew 1-1 in the first leg, in Greece.

As for Rangers they would meet, Inter Milan or Getafe. They are however 3-1 down in their second round tie against Bayer Leverkusen. Shaktar or Wolfsburg, Basel or Frankfurt will meet in the other Quarter Final.

Some great ties in prospect

And finally…..

So there we have it, we still have time until the European competitions restart. It is however something else to look forward to, once the domestic seasons are over.

The pinnacle of fooball to return
